Now In Beta: Vesper-on-Polygon
This marks Vesper’s first expansion onto a L2 chain — one of the most-frequent requests from Vespernauts.
Vesper mainnet strategies work wherever the destination protocols exist. For Polygon, this currently consists of Aave and Curve.
Deployment to other networks is a plug-and-play experience. With Polygon established, Vesper can venture to other upcoming networks and L2’s like Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Fantom.
Q3 in Review

BitMart AMA with Jordan Kruger
Co-founder Jordan Kruger joined BiMart for an AMA on all things Vesper. The dialogue touched on the impetus behind creating Vesper and what Vesper’s doing to bridge the gap between TradFi and DeFi.

Weekly AMA — Mikey Coombe
Community Manager and Global Ambassador Lead, Mikey Coombe, took the hot seat this week for the eleventh edition of Vesper’s weekly AMA series. He fielded questions ranging from his back story with crypto to what has him most excited with the future of Vesper.
Head over to the #ama channel on the Vesper Discord to catch the full conversation.
A few highlights:
Q: I would be curious to hear more about your back story with crypto. What got you involved? What other projects have you worked on? What excites you most about the current state of the industry, and what are you looking forward to in the future?
A: I’ve always loved being on the cutting edge of emerging technologies. When I was 12 I was coding websites and looking at opportunities to build and get involved with the internet. Bitcoin seemed like such a paradigm shift away from traditional finance. It was also a blend of finance, technology, politics / governance which made it very appealing as I am interested in all of those.
I worked with Bitcoin.com and Liquid.com prior to Vesper.
I’d say I’m most passionate about economic freedom in the world. I realize how lucky I was to be from the UK and have a fair shot at every opportunity. But not everyone has that. Crypto offers an opportunity to bridge that gap between developed nations and younger nations, truly putting the power in the hands of the people. DeFi will play a large role in that — and that drives my passion and interest in cryptocurrency and DeFi.
Q: Who do you listen to in the crypto space for clear thoughts and ideas?
A: My twitter feed is made up of the likes of Vitalik Buterin, Qiao Wang, CZ, Brian Armstrong, Musk, Mike Novogratz, Roger Ver, Ryan Selkis, Raoul Pal amongst several others. I also thoroughly enjoy reading financial pieces and news from various sources as well.
Q: What project are you most excited about at Vesper?
A: I’m very excited about Vesper Earn. There seems to be so many interesting applications of the Deposit X, Earn Y function that Earn enables through “programmable yield.”
Vesper’s next AMA will take place on October 21 at 1:00pm ET with Marketing and Communications Lead, Phil Gomes!
The official countdown is on for Vesper’s Oct. 24 track at Money20/20!
Vesper’s track will focus on the intersection of DeFi and TradFi — or hybrid finance — and feature insightful discussions with leaders from Vesper, Messari and across the finance ecosystem.

Vespernaut-initiated Governance Discussion
Vespernaut “vDEFI” has worked with other engaged community members to introduce a community-led governance taskforce. The intention of the group is to establish and accelerate the decentralized governance and broader DAO-ification goals of Vesper.
The community is working together to design specific roles for this committee in order to ensure the group is functional and effective. Third party integrators are looking for a better decentralized Vesper, and this committee is designed to push the decentralization process forward in order to qualify Vesper for these integrations.
To help shape and participate in the committee, jump into the #governance channel on Discord.
Insight of the Week
Let’s take an early look at the number of vToken holders on Polygon since the beta launch on Oct. 12. Approximately 24 hours after launch, 18 users deposited into Vesper’s Polygon Grow Pools. Another 48 hours later, 45 wallets held vTokens on Polygon.
An increasing number of Vespernauts are dipping their toes into the Polygon (beta) waters. Stay tuned for next week’s update, which will cover Polygon beta metrics in greater depth.
